Migration to Shopify
A store migration is a data project and an SEO project at the same time.
Moving to Shopify is usually the right call for brands tired of plugin updates, slow hosting and security patches. But a careless migration can cost more than it saves. Products arrive with broken variants. Customer accounts do not carry over. Old URLs return 404 errors, and search traffic that took years to build drops overnight. Will I lose my Google rankings when I migrate to Shopify?
A migration always carries some risk, and nobody can promise rankings. We reduce the risk with a full 301 redirect map, carried-over titles and descriptions, and checks in Search Console after launch.
Can customer passwords be migrated?
Usually not. Passwords are encrypted on your old platform and cannot be moved safely. Customer accounts move over, and we set up an invitation so customers can reactivate their accounts on Shopify.
Will my store go down during the migration?
No. Your current store keeps running while we build and test the Shopify store. We do a final sync of new orders and customers just before switching your domain.
Can you move from an Etsy shop to Shopify?
